Hand building for kids!

Service Description

Calling all young artists ages 8-13! Students will learn how clay can be shaped, altered, stretched, folded, pinched and attached to create familiar and unfamiliar forms. Along with the traditional coiling, pinching and slab-building of recognizable objects we’ll create fantastical forms in a student-oriented class. Activities will be choice-based within the limits of our material and tools at hand. Students will be given agency that allows them to make their own decisions based on their interest and ability This allows them to learn from their mistakes and begin to trust their own judgement.
